Hunting is a game. But unlike other sports, hunting is under the laws and regulations of the government. Before one can partake in the game of hunting, it is a MUST that you secure a hunting license at least a couple of months before the season begins.

Aside from that, there are only specific animals that can be hunted during the season. It is important that the licensed hunter must adhere to this rule or they will be put in jail for a couple of moths.

Be aware that the most of the hunting grounds are privately owned. If you think the hunting grounds are part of someone else’s property, you can simply ask them if you can do your hunting activities there. Some owners allow hunters to be in there grounds provided that they have license and money to pay for being in their property.

Ohio is another state where hunting is popular during certain seasons. And like any other states, it also has rules that hunters must follow.

A hunter license is important before you can start shooting bullets and arrows in the state. To get this, you must pass the hunter education course.

Deer hunting is strictly regulated in Ohio. You can use legal hunting weapons such as bows, rifles, and airguns but you can never set traps nor use deer calling to attract the prey.

It is also a must that the hunter should wear orange clothes especially during the open season. This is to make sure that your fellow hunters would also see you.

The TMA, a popular hunting association, recently conducted a study along with the CPSC or Consumer Product Safety Commission. These are the reports about the safety of the hunters and why the reasons why they fall (not for a trap, literally fall).

According to the report, more than 80 percent of hunter accidents happen because of the non-usage of body harnesses or fall-restraint equipments.

At least 75 percent of the hunters who had fall accidents are between 30 to 60 years old. The average age for this mishap is 44 years old.

The average distance that most hunters fall? Only 21.5 ft.

10 percent of the fall incidents involve homemade stands.

Every year, there are about 20 reports of this incident.
