Hunter Fall Facts

The TMA, a popular hunting association, recently conducted a study along with the CPSC or Consumer Product Safety Commission. These are the reports about the safety of the hunters and why the reasons why they fall (not for a trap, literally fall).

According to the report, more than 80 percent of hunter accidents happen because of the non-usage of body harnesses or fall-restraint equipments.

At least 75 percent of the hunters who had fall accidents are between 30 to 60 years old. The average age for this mishap is 44 years old.

The average distance that most hunters fall? Only 21.5 ft.

10 percent of the fall incidents involve homemade stands.

Every year, there are about 20 reports of this incident.
