What do you mean by deer stand hunting?
Deer stand hunting is considered as the most effective and the most productive way to hunt for all kinds of deer. The said strategy requires the hunter to sit motionless at the tree stand so that the prey would not be able to detect any from him.
If the hunter quietly sitting at the stand knows how to conceal his scent, the deer will be oblivious of his presence the whole time. With this said, the stand hunter will be a very lethal in hunting the deer.
One of the major factors that would make or break the stand hunter is the wind. More often than not, a crosswind or a downwind location is always customized in order to increase the chance of the hunter’s successful hunt. This allows the hunter to avoid the keen sense of smell of the deer.

Let the body harnesses save your life
It doesn’t need a genius to know that hunting has its own hazards especially when using a stand. No matter how sturdy you think the stand is, it would help if you have something stronger to rely while at the top of the stand.
The safety device that is essential when hunting (especially if you are usually at the top of the stands) is the full body tree harness. These lifesavers can now be purchased along with a tree stand. This allows the hunter to move freely without worrying about accidents during the whole course of his treestand hunting. There are no retractable full body tree harnesses so that the hunter can easily climb up and down without preventing accidents (particularly falls) from happening.
Your safety during hunting is a serious issue. Go get yourself this safety hunting equipment because a simple slip at a tree stand may cause you injuries or worse your life.
What Hunting Scent do you use?
There are two kinds of scents that are commonly used when hunting. The Luring Scent and the Cover Scent.
The cover scent is mainly used to disguise the natural scent of the hunter. There is a wide array of cover scents that you can use including the natural scent of the earth, the trees, and alike. On the other hand, the lure scents are used in order to draw the animal near. More often than not, hunters use the scent of an animal mate so they can entice the prey. Both of these scents are now widely available in most hunting specialty stores.
But whatever scent you choose, it would not be an effective hunting tool as long as you have the human scent in you. It can be from your body, from the clothes that you wear, or from the smell of your breath. Remember that animals are very sensitive when it comes to smell. If you want to effectively catch your prey, then let the artificial scent dominate you.
